South Akron Awning- 100 years in business. Will take care of tables, tents, chairs, linens – anything you need to pull off a wedding that isn’t in a hall.

Thomas Limousine- Large fleet of vehicles. They will take care of anything from whole wedding parties, just families or only the bride and groom. They can do airport drop off and pick up for honeymoon and can do airport shuttles for out of town guests.

Reeves Cake Top Shop- Have Wednesday cake tastings and a showroom of around 50 cakes for you to see. Can do filled cupcakes, shower cakes and very creative, one-of-a-kind groom’s cakes.

Amedeo’s Florist- A full-service florist. They are able to handle boutonnieres, bouquets, center pieces, shower flowers, cake flowers, and church flowers. They will also help custom design your wedding flowers with colors of your wedding and budget.

Sydmor’s Jewelry- Stores located in Ravenna and Barberton. Full service jewelry and can custom make pieces. Don’t forget the wedding day gift for your bride – a special memento for the day.

Beach Boyz Entertainment- Does around 600 weddings a year. They have become a full service entertainment company, which can take care of DJ, photo booth and event lighting.

TLC Catering, Inc.- 20 years as St George’s caterer. Old hall fits 380 and new hall fits 450. Do caterer custom off-site weddings. They can do rehearsal picnics with either drop off service or full service drop off.

AJF Photography- Can handle from engagement photos all the way up to the wedding.

Pic-Tur-This Video- Can do just ceremony or reception or bundle them together where the whole day is filmed. Can also do photo collections to music on video.

The biggest thing that makes the wedding group work is referrals. A great example is TLC offers a wedding package that includes a DJ from Beach Boyz. Each member always asks the bride and groom, “What haven’t you picked, yet?” To which they reply, “Perhaps I can help”…. and then that opens up the opportunity to refer an AEA member.

Another huge advantage is that when we give them 1 referral, they will be exposed to other people getting married, while they interact with the bridal party. It gives this group a way to shine and an opportunity to win great business. They all said that weddings are a good portion of business, but all of them do any kind of special occasions, from birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. So, please think of them if you hear someone mention that they need a vendor for any special event.

Jerry Leipply, Leipply & Armstrong

Jerry has been practicing law for many years. His law firm partner, James Armstrong, is a juvenile magistrate. Lately, Jerry has noticed a change in behavior with people being served with papers. They simply don’t care. Regardless of the issue of why you’re being sued, you should always take the matter seriously and seek legal representation immediately.

Dick Sutherland, Pic-Tur-This Video

Pic-Tur-This Video has been producing videos since 1985. Dick Sutherland and his wife, Bev, work together as a team. While she tends to the bride’s needs, Dick captures all the special moments on video. AEA has played and will continue to play a crucial part in the success of Dick’s business, since he has never done any marketing. 80 to 90% of Dick’s business has come through referrals. Throughout the year, he attends a few bridal shows. Most importantly, is the bridal event at Reeve’s Cake Shop where he receives numerous leads.
